Starting Somewhere

| Shannon Sullivan

Looking at the world we live in, it’s easy to feel frustrated and exhausted; there’s a reason that Merriam-Webster is keeping an eye on the word doomscrolling! Even if you’re ready to dive in and find solutions, it can be overwhelming to block out the time in your busy schedule, or even to know where to start.

That’s why we’ve created a brand-new course: 4 Steps to Building a Better Community. It’s designed for the on-the-go woman who wants to make an impact and more fully participate in our shared democracy, exploring her civic engagement without judgment. The four-week program, which runs from October 12 to November 2, will be delivered via email so that you can work on it in your own time. In just 30 minutes per week, you’ll learn how you can make our democracy better–and in addition to the activities that make up the course, we’ll connect you to other participants, putting you in touch with a community of women to share experiences and learnings.

In a world where our challenges seem insurmountable, even bite-sized actions can make a difference. Are you ready to take one small action today and start somewhere today?
