She Should Run is a national, 501(c)3, nonpartisan organization dedicated to building a future of gender equality in elected office. We mobilize American women from all walks of life to fully acknowledge the systemic crisis of gender inequality and the unique role they play in addressing the challenges of the 21st century. About the Role

The Program Associate is a detail-oriented project planner with a solid motivation to ensure all components of She Should Run’s digital and in-person programming are aligned for success and documented to facilitate growth. Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, the Program Associate is responsible for the implementation, data collection, and process documentation of all She Should Run’s programs, from webinars and e-courses to newsletters and in-person training. This role requires a proactive person who asks questions and has a high level of responsibility to ensure high-quality and consistent programming. They enjoy seeing a project through from start to finish and analyzing data to ensure continuous improvement and refining of program goals and objectives. They have experience with both digital and in-person programming or event planning, ideally using project management tools, such as Asana. Finally, they are passionate about implementing our vision of seeing 250,000 women in our community by 2030.

Duties and Responsibilities

Project & Event Execution & Logistics (40%)

  • Coordinate and implement all digital and in-person event logistics to ensure programs are executed successfully and on schedule
  • Utilize She Should Run’s project management software, Asana, to ensure all programs and events are scheduled and appropriately tracked, collaborating with appropriate team members
  • Collaborate with the Communications Team to develop and support promotion and outreach strategies to reach target audiences and grow the She Should Run community
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all digital program events, including Webinars, Online Happy Hours, and Ask Me Anything sessions
  • Manage attendance list and share relevant details with the Senior Program Manager to ensure quality programming
  • Communicate with speakers and presenters to ensure they are fully supported with program goals and event logistics
  • Research and maintain a list of program speakers and presenters, keeping in mind DEI principals

Program Administration & Strategy (25%)

  • Ensure all recurring program projects, events, and tasks are documented using the organization’s best practices, such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Asana, and Slack
  • Create, update, and improve program templates for program, event, and training execution
  • Support Program Intern hiring, training, and management as directed by the Senior Program Manager
  • Serve as a thought partner and collaborate with the Senior Program Manager and Senior Staff to develop and implement program strategy
  • Champion She Should Run’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and ensure intersectionality plays a role in program strategy and implementation

Program Monitoring & Evaluation (20%)

  • Disseminate all program and event-related data collection tools, including quantitative and quantitative data, such as surveys
  • Ensure all data entry for program KPIs is collected and recorded on relevant reports and tracking documents
  • Contribute to data analysis efforts and serve as a thought partner for the Senior Program Manager & Digital Experience Director

Program Content Creation & Marketing (10%)

  • Contribute to program content creation as needed, such as the weekly digest, blogs, website & social content
  • Update program-related content on the organization’s website, using WordPress, as directed by the Senior Program Manager and in collaboration with the Communications Team
  • Collaborate with the Senior Program Manager & Communications Team to conduct regular list management and maintenance to ensure subscribers are receiving content most relevant to them, and that SSR is curating content thoughtfully based on the recipient

Organizational Support & Collaboration (5%)

  • Collaborate with the Fundraising & Development Team as needed to maintain quality relationships with our partners and donors
  • Perform other duties and tasks as required to drive She Should Run’s vision, mission, and values of She Should Run

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Applicants must be located in the Washington, D.C., or Chicago metropolitan areas
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in a fast-paced environment in the digital program or events management space
  • Experience managing people, such as interns or volunteers, is a plus
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to convey precise step-by-step instructions
  • Strong project management software experience, ideally Asana, is desire
  • Experience updating website content, specifically WordPress, is desired
  • Positive attitude and ability to identify and respond appropriately to potential negative situations
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate flexibility in thinking and responding to challenging situations
  • Experience using multiple software platforms, such as Google Suite, MailChimp, Salesforce, and Slack
  • Solid foundation and understanding of United States politics and civic engagement

Salary Range – $55-$70K
