About the Role

She Should Run is seeking a self-motivated, highly organized, Development & Operations Assistant to help drive She Should Run’s operational excellence. You will be responsible for supporting the Development team with fundraising, donor cultivation, and database management activities, as well as supporting the day-to-day business operations of the organization. You are dependable, detail-oriented, personable, and will thrive in an environment of change and flexibility as we scale the organization over the next few years.

Duties and Responsibilities

Development

  • Donor gift processing (incl. issuance of acknowledgments, gift receipts; donation pledges, and other written communication)
  • Partnerships management (incl. contracting, invoicing, and coordination)
  • Donor database (Salesforce) data entry, management, and reporting
  • Grant submission, management, and reporting
  • She Should Run GuideStar, third-party aggregator, and other giving platform profile maintenance and updates
  • Prospect research
  • Support the Development Director and Donor Relations & Partnerships Manager with other day-to-day donor cultivation and development activities as determined

Finance & Operations

  • Check processing and weekly bank deposits
  • Annual independent audit preparation support
  • Document management and organization
  • Mail processing and shipments (incl. scanning, sorting, mailings coordination)
  • Materials and supplies ordering and inventory management
  • info@sheshouldrun.org inbox and office phone management
  • Events and meeting project management and logistical support
  • Support the Chief of Staff and D.C. office with other day-to-day finance and operations activities as determined
  • Administrative support to the CEO including scheduling

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of administrative/operations experience
  • Non-profit experience preferred; Experience working with remote teams a plus
  • Excellent organization and project management skills
  • Ability to quickly learn/manage databases and systems
  • Ability to appropriately prioritize and self-manage effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Google Mail & Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets)
  • Able to comfortably adapt in a diverse and dynamic environment with changing requirements and priorities
  • Job offer contingent on satisfactory background check (due to cash management responsibilities of the role)
  • Experience using Salesforce and QuickBooks Online a plus
