Managing Uncertainty as a Candidate

| Ally Cummings

In the times of crisis, there is no official playbook for how candidates should approach campaigning or how women should step up lead. However, in the last few weeks, we have seen example after example of women stepping up to help their neighbors and their communities. To understand how this crisis is impacting candidates, their communities, and women overall, our CEO and Founder Erin Loos Cutraro sat down with Vanessa Fuentes. Vanessa is a Community Health Advocate, candidate for Austin, Texas city council, and a She Should Run Community Member.

In this chat, Erin and Vanessa discuss:

  • How her campaign has changed since the crisis began
  • How we can all be leaders right now and take small or big actions to help our community
  • Why women’s voices are so essential in leadership, especially now
  • And more..!

This is the first of many Q & As we will be doing in 2020. Join us and our Community for future chats with women leaders on the topics of leadership, fundraising, networking, and more. We hope this conversation was helpful during this time of uncertainty. Now, we’d love to hear from you! Share with us in the comments how you’re doing, what questions you have, and how you and your community are managing this crisis.
