Allison Creagan-Frank, Bertha Wurmser Herz Programs Fellow

A life-long resident of the Pacific Northwest, Allison graduated from Washington State University in December of 2010 with a degree in Public Affairs. Upon graduation, she began a term of service with AmeriCorps doing community outreach and coordinating afterschool programming for students and parents at an elementary school.  In May of 2011, Allison returned to Washington State University to pursue her Master’s of Public Affairs degree as well as her Professional and Technical Writing Certification. Allison has a strong interest in citizen engagement and is currently working on research that studies the effects of technology on political participation. It is this strong interest in expanding citizen engagement at all levels that has led her to work towards increasing the role of women in all aspects of politics and government. She hopes to someday apply her studies and work experience in government and education to promote engagement in all of our democratic processes.

Kaitlin Froom, Development Fellow

Kaitlin recently graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor's degree in Women's Studies and Anthropology and a minor in museum studies. While completing her undergraduate degree, Kaitlin served as coordinator of FSU's feminist student organization, The F Word. She also worked with FSU's Student Life Cinema to bring marginalized voices in film to the student body. Kaitlin is very excited work with She Should Run and to do her part in helping women be elected to public office.

Alexandra Gilliland, Communications Fellow

Alexandra graduated from Chapman University with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and English. As an undergraduate she was the managing editor of the student newspaper and served as a reporter and producer for the campus news channel. After graduation, she produced TV news for the ABC affiliate in San Francisco and Sacramento. Most recently, Alexandra volunteered for a Virginia state senate campaign where she canvassed neighborhoods and talked to voters. Alexandra is pursuing a Master’s of Public Policy at American University and is excited to be working for She Should Run on critical women’s issues, including getting more women elected!

Emily Honstein, Communications Fellow

Emily recently graduated from the George Washington University with a master's degree in Global Communication, focusing on Middle East Studies and Information Communication Technology and Development. Influenced by her ten years attending an all-girls school and involvement in various social issues in college, women’s rights and representation have been a strong passion of her's throughout most of her life. Emily also has a strong interest in social media and its use in political spaces. She currently runs two community focused Twitter feeds and assists with the social media strategy for "Just the Tip of Feminism," an independent documentary film project. Emily is very excited to come on board WCF's team and looks forward to the work she'll be doing there.

Elizabeth Kaiser, Political Fellow

Elizabeth graduated this past May from Miami University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in History. Throughout her college career, she worked as a Resident Assistant, and was a member of College Democrats and the national honor fraternity, Phi Sigma Pi. Prior to coming on board at She Should Run, Elizabeth worked for Congressman Henry Waxman and Greenberg Quinlan Rosner, a political polling and research group. She also worked for the South Coast Air Quality Management District, which helps to control air pollution in Southern California. She is passionate about advancing the role of women in every level of politics and is very excited to be working for She Should Run.

Salima Mongalji, Annie Kahn Feinsod Development Fellow

Salima is a recent graduate of Cornell University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree and completed a major in government. She has a passion for women's rights and advocacy. Salima gained invaluable knowledge and experience working at the Ithaca advocacy center for victims of abuse as well as from her coursework in women's health and feminist, gender studies. Salima is excited to have the opportunity to work with the fantastic members of She Should Run and to learn and grow through her development fellowship.

Casey Wright, Development Fellow

Casey is finishing his Master's degree in Women’s studies at Texas Woman’s University. His thesis paper assesses the late Wangari Maathai and the Green Belt Movement she founded over 30 years ago with the hope of advancing not only environmental sustainability, but women leaders who can help change Africa. Casey received his undergraduate degree in political science at Virginia Tech. During college, he worked as a field organizer in Ohio on the 2004 presidential campaign. Casey has also worked at SEIU, as a union organizer where he helped the workers of a Florida hospital win their first union contract. He is now working on his first book, a sci-fi political comedy/thriller/tragedy set in 2116. As a She Should Run fellow, Casey looks forward to helping to advance women in politics.
