She Should Run is currently seeking applications for our 2017 Summer Fellowship Program.
She Should Run is a non-partisan organization whose mission is to expand the talent pool of future elected female leaders. We know that when women run for office, they win at the same rates as men. Yet, women are not encouraged and recruited at the same rates. She Should Run’s Ask a Woman to Run and Incubator programs are changing this by bridging the gender gap in government and by helping women of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences develop leadership skills and a path toward public service.
Since the election we have seen a surge in women interested in running for office or nominating other women to run. As a growing organization, our Office Fellows are an integral part of the work we do to promote gender equity in government.
With a flexible start/end date, the Summer Fellowship Program is typically a part-time position that requires a commitment of 12 weeks with a monthly stipend included. Our Office Fellows generally work remotely, up to 20 hours a week, providing programmatic and administrative support to the CEO, Executive Director, and She Should Run staff. Office Fellows will get exposure to the intricacies of non-profit management, media relations, and member and donor relations. Work, duties, and responsibilities may include the following:
