About the Role

She Should Run is seeking a proactive, customer-focused, results-driven Donor Relations & Partnerships Manager to work in close alignment with the Communications and Programs teams. The Donor Relations & Partnerships Manager will lead our donor engagement and development approach by cultivating our existing donor base and identifying new individual and institutional giving opportunities. You will ensure that She Should Run experiences year-over-year growth to reach our $3M fundraising goal. Revenue-generating efforts will be focused on individual giving, corporate partnerships, grants management, and events.

Duties and Responsibilities

Donor Relations (60%)

  • Develop and lead individual giving and donor engagement strategy to meet fundraising targets and deadlines
  • Proactively strengthen relationships with existing donor base to ensure donor retention and increase monthly giving
  • Use our Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system Salesforce to prepare profiles and reports of current and prospective donors (big and small), and understand potential for support
  • Create and execute segmented email marketing campaigns and fundraising appeals
  • Process and track incoming funds, which includes making bank deposits and Salesforce database record keeping
  • Develop and manage the donor acknowledgement and thank-you process
  • Deliver a consistently positive, well-informed interaction with supporters and funders


Development (35%)

  • Develop and lead institutional giving strategy to meet fundraising targets and deadlines, focusing on corporate partnerships, and including grants management, and program fundraising events
  • Evaluate incoming partnership inquiries for mission and brand alignment, and proactively seek partnerships for the same
  • Manage partnerships as the She Should Run point of contact for meetings and other partner activities
  • Manage grants coordination
  • Serve as staff lead and on-site manager during development events

Management & Reporting (5%)

  • Facilitate monthly meetings for She Should Run staff to discuss development priorities, trends, and progress-to-date
  • Track return on investment (ROI) for development activities
  • Report out on the Fundraising section of quarterly Board Report
  • Contribute to She Should Run’s Annual Report by communicating development goals and successes with internal and external stakeholders


Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years prior donor-relations professional experience
  • Minimum 2 years nonprofit fundraising experience in scaling organization
  • Proven email campaign and donor appeal experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and storytelling skills
  • Excellent follow-through and project management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multi-layered relationships and projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate flexibility in thinking
  • Proficient use of Salesforce (CRM) and MailChimp (email marketing platform)
  • Events management experience (preferred)
