The list of jewelry companies supporting newsworthy initiatives and movements continues to grow (see Tacori’s sponsorship of #shinetogether and Jennifer Fisher’s new collection supporting Everytown for Gun Safety).
This week, moissanite manufacturer and jewelry company Charles & Colvard announced it’s donating a portion of its profits to She Should Run, a nonprofit organization that seeks to expand the talent pool of women running for public office. Founded in 2011, She Should Run is working toward the goal of readying 250,000 women to run for elected office by 2030.
Charles & Colvard is donating 10 percent of its net proceeds from a 10-piece jewelry collectionto the organization. The collection includes everyday-appropriate moissanite rings, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. Two pieces (a necklace and a bracelet) are engraved with the #SheShouldRun hashtag.

The brand has launched a new campaign around its pledge to support She Should Run, using the hashtag #HerBrilliance online.
“We’re proud to partner with and help bring awareness to the incredible initiatives of She Should Run,” says Charles & Colvard president and CEO Suzanne Miglucci. “As an organization, we encourage and celebrate female leadership each day and are honored to share this opportunity with our customers.”
Erin Loos Cutraro, founder and CEO of She Should Run, adds, “Since 2016, nearly 21,000 women in She Should Run’s programs have indicated they are preparing to run in the future. With the help of great partners like Charles & Colvard, we can reach, educate, and empower even more women to meet and exceed our goals.”
#HerBrilliance marks the company’s second public pledge of public support in as many months. In early March, we wrote about the firm’s new program that gives military members and veterans a 20 percent discount on engagement ring styles.
